Richardson, Belinda

Abstract Details

2009, Master of Arts, University of Akron, Family and Consumer Sciences-Child and Family Development.
The purpose of this study was to examine the beliefs of African American parents in regards to beliefs, values, and expectations about childrearing and socialization of preschool age children. This study is beneficial in aiding an understanding of what beliefs help to determine the educational and social experiences African American parents' expect their children to have while attending preschool at center based child care programs.
