The first goal of this study is to identify possible differences in enrichments of heritability across single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) contributing to different hypertension-related traits, using summary statistics from genome-wide association studies (GWAS) while considering the heterogeneity effects. The method of Cross Phenotype Association (CPASSOC) is used to identify the contribution of the genome-wide SNPs to three traits: systolic blood pressure (SBP), diastolic blood pressure (DBP) and hypertension status (HTN). Then all SNPs are grouped by the contribution to different combinations of the traits. The stratified LD (linkage disequilibrium) score regression is used to partition heritability from GWAS summary statistics. Different enrichments between combinations are detected. The pair-wise genetic correlation and heritability are calculated. Another goal of this study is to compare the power of CPASSOC test statistic SHet under the widely accepted additive model of inheritance and under a more general categorical model.
