Gramian to Physical State Analysis Method

Abstract Details

2023, Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, University of Dayton, Electrical and Computer Engineering.
Observations have shown that the so-called Power availablE Estimator Tool (PEET) method equipped with integrator resetting can improve operational versatility without compromising safety of an aerospace generator system. It is impossible to experimentally validate against all edge cases, however we can determine whether PEET’s inputs are relevant or spurious. Furthermore, we can verify that resetting the integrator has a significant impact. Both of these are accomplished by characterizing controllability and observability of the states of a linearized model at multiple equilibrium regions.
