Hayman, Amanda J.

Abstract Details

2008, Master of Arts in Education, Defiance College, Education.
Six female collegiate softball players enrolled in a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III college, located in the Midwest, participated in this study. The purpose of this study was to determine if the implementation of a nutrition education program for collegiate female athletes would increase their knowledge on the relationship between nutrition and athletic performance. Using a pre- and post-questionnaire, the results of this study found that five out of the six participants had a significant increase in knowledge after the athlete nutrition education program.
