Abstract
While acknowledged as a collaborative approach to strengthen family resources, little research on wraparound exists about types of supports, interventions, engagement, and needs producing the most favorable results. Purposed to determine if the wraparound process impacts the needs of at-risk youth and families and identify commonalities among successful and unsuccessful wraparound family plans of care; this study explored 14 family plans of care with at-risk youth ranging from ages 6-21. This non-experimental study used pre-existing secondary data. Results revealed the wraparound process most commonly impacted safety, social, and self-esteem needs, and distinct differences exited between successful and unsuccessful wraparound plans. Although wraparound is individualized to meet the needs of families, ideal conditions influence the likelihood of favorable results.
