Abstract
This thesis explores the relationship between the Levant and Italy during the fifteenth and sixteenth century and the art that emerged from it. How the Levant managed to extend their influence into Italian textiles, ceramics, language and art will be explored as the East and the West come together to aid in the phenomenon known as the Italian Renaissance.
