Go Outside

Abstract Details

2017, MFA, Kent State University, College of Arts and Sciences / Department of English.
“Go Outside” is a collection of poetry that explores the ever-present, often reckless, intersection between mankind and nature. Thematically, these poems deal with subjects such as isolation, death, and beauty, using nature as a vehicle for delivering true human experience. Like having someone hide behind a tree, only to discover that parts of their limbs are still visible, “Go Outside” makes an attempt to camouflage itself in image-driven verse but ultimately reveals so much more.
