THE SHOW IS IN THE DETAILS: LEARNING ABOUT A STUDENT DIRECTOR’S PROCESS FROM THE INSIDE

Abstract Details

2011, BA, Kent State University, College of the Arts / School of Theatre and Dance.
The current thesis examines a student director as she discovers her process. It also explains three professional director’s processes. Additionally, I consider the major differences between a concept and a process. A playwright begins this process with a little step; it is now up to the director to turn that step into a staircase of magic.
