The purpose of this report is to describe my internship experience with the United States Forest Service. The duration of the internship was from June to November 2012. The focus of my internship was on the implementation of established wildlife-related projects including construction of habitat, foraging areas and plant management. This required obtaining an understanding of wildlife needs and the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). The primary responsibilities included the construction and improvement of wildlife habitats and data collection to determine the preferred grasses of wildlife in Umpqua National Forest. This report summarizes the projects, activities, training, and experiences I was involved in during my internship at Diamond Lake Ranger District
