Abstract Details

2009, Master of Music (MM), Ohio University, Composition (Fine Arts).
Creation Myths is based on the concept of continuous creation and destruction. The melodies and motives rise and fall in a continuous process of renewal – as one section is destroyed or covered, another has already begun to take its place. Moving from a delicate ‘music box’ texture of vibraphone, marimba, glockenspiel and celesta to vicious impacts of up to four simultaneous brake drums, Creation Myths evokes a wide range of emotions.
