A concave or convex surface of a mirror creates very interesting reflections of one's body. As in these mirrors, my work is about the perception of the world depending very much on different and unique viewpoints. However, the socio-cultural phenomena that homogenize the unique qualities of each individual are often found in TV commercials or on NPR stations on the radio. From my own worries about the impact of this homogenization, I define the contemporary iconography in the visual culture from the standpoint of an artist, and I display the diverse qualities in my light-box installations of group portraits of ordinary people and the different perspective produced throughout the boxes. The focus in my work is on an association of our identity within our visual environment and that this visual environment is motivated by human desire. This idea underlies the body images used in all of my installations. Through the use of body images, I demonstrate the relationship between continuous obsessions in human characteristics and a post-capitalistic society's various images. This paper starts from the premise that I consider the body as a container. This paper also examines how this idea is codified in my work, in addition to discussing the associations with the photographic aspects in my portraits, and the importance of portrait images as an indication of our identification.
