The purpose of this document is to present and discuss the original composition Land of Our Birth by Michael G. Martin. The piece is scored for male chorus, piano, brass, woodwinds and percussion. The text for this work is the Rudyard Kipling poem The Children's Song, which is from a collection of short stories for children entitled, Puck of Pook's Hill. This document presents an overview of Rudyard Kipling and his poetry and discusses the composition Land of our Birth.
