Cognitive Ability in a Team-Play Beauty Contest Game: An Experiment Proposal

Kashner, Daniel

Abstract Details

2014, Master of Mathematical Sciences, Ohio State University, Mathematics.
The p-Beauty Contest game is introduced using concepts from game theory. Previous experimental results are reviewed, with an emphasis on how player behavior can be analyzed according to the level-k model. An experiment is proposed to test how players use information about their opponents' cognitive abilities to predict the level of strategic sophistication at which they will play.
