The development of a parameter estimation tool towards fault diagnosis

Chen, Xiaoming

Abstract Details

1997, Master of Science, Ohio State University, Nuclear Engineering.
Parameter estimation techniques are commonly used for fault diagnosis, system identification, control and signal processing. Recently, a new approach has been proposed that is numerically efficient and allows assigning probability to parameters being in user specified intervals and hence is suitable for on-line fault diagnoses in non-linear dynamic systems. This thesis presents the design and implementation of the software package that simplifies the application of the new approach to a given system.
