I find beauty and inspiration in personal data that is accumulated from mundane and
everyday routines. These may appear to be trivial, but they lead the viewer into a realm of
reflection on human existence. I illuminate the junction between the personal and the universal
through the investigation of information from a contemporary existence. These pieces of
information form a network of time passages, subtle humor, and fragile connections through serial
arrangement.
The four exhibited works are part of a larger body titled Personal Anthropology, which visualizes fragments of my everyday life. The recognition of my daily activities such as dreaming, playing, cleansing, and the observation of light is presented via their connection to souvenirs produced by them. The residues from these rituals were collected during the past three years in my living space. Collecting, for me, is a powerful tactic for making sense out of the world I live within and for observing my actions analytically.
