Abstract
In this thesis, we shall study fundamental Bessel functions for GL

(F) arising from the Voronoi summation formula as well as Bessel functions for GL
2
(F) and GL
3
(F) occurring in the Kuznetsov trace formula, where

is any positive integer and F = R or C.
