The following writing serves as a representation of an experience accumulated through making. While it is written under specific academic titles and guidelines, many of which presume a point or a proof, I will be making no statements which require either of those. That is to say, this is to be read from the standpoint of my subjectivity and I am in no way comfortable with the position that I know anything regarding making to be concretely true. I respond to what I see and what I hold in my hand, and all the unknowns between those two things are the images that structure this document. In many ways, to talk about one thing I make is to talk about all the things I’ve made, so maybe at the very least speaking in depth about my site-specific installation Line and Frame will also relate broadly to what was a rolling practice during my time as a graduate student.
