I make work to investigate the gestures of the body with mechanism and as mechanism. Merging clay, cloth and wood, I use remembered visuals of the everyday to do so. Enlarging an aspect of self with a physical object, I mark an extension of body. Through repetitive task based movement that eventually becomes laborious, I seek to challenge how we recognized these unconscious gestures.
