Building Fluency With Frequency Building and Precision Teaching

This dissertation consists of an introduction, three stand-alone papers, and a future career statement. Chapter 1 is an introduction to the dissertation. Chapter 2 is a comprehensive literature review evaluating frequency building and precision teaching with school-aged children. Chapter 3 is a research study that evaluated the effects of using two different intervention packages to teach a divergent thinking task to children with autism spectrum disorder. Chapter 4 is a practitioner paper intended to disseminates the findings from Chapters 2 and 3 and provides suggestions on how to use frequency building in the classroom. Finally, Chapter 5 is statement addressing my future research and career plans.
