Invisible Violence and Inequality: Understanding the Challenges that Affect Women

Abstract Details

2019, Master of Arts, University of Toledo, Sociology.
This study looks at global inequality and seeks to show that prioritizing the role of women in society can reduce inequality. Using the framework of invisible violence, this study views inequality as violence and uses HIV, tuberculosis and maternal mortality as health outcomes. The invisible violence models in this thesis did show a connection between the status of women and health outcomes. However, further revision is needed in order to provide a model that is more holistic.
