COMPACT QUANTUM GROUP ACTIONS ON C*-ALGEBRAS

We investigate the generator properties of derivations which are invariant with respect to compact quantum group coactions. We prove that if the linear span of the spectral subspaces associated to irreducible unitary representations of the quantum group is included in the domain of the derivation, then the derivation is the generator of a one parameter group of automorphisms. In particular, for an ergodic system, this assumption is automatically satisfied. Furthermore,we use quantum versions of subspaces of spherical functions of the crossed product in order to obtain necessary and sufficient conditions on the simplicity and primeness of the crossed product obtained by compact quantum group coactions.
