We present the measurement of mixing and Charge Parity violation parameters in the D0 meson system using the decay
¯B→μ-D*+ X
D*+→D0 π+
D0→K π
and charge conjugate decays using the full Run I dataset collected by the LHCb Collaboration at the LHC at CERN from 2011 to 2012.
By fitting the time dependent ratio of "Wrong Sign" D0 decays to "Right Sign" D0 decays,
we extract the parameters sensitive to mixing and charge parity violation. The resulting mixing fit yields
RD = (3.48±0.11±0.01)×10-3
y' = (4.60±3.50±0.18)×10-3
x'2= (0.28±3.10±0.11)×10-4
The results for the no Direct CP Violation fits are
RD=(3.48±0.11±0.01)×10-3
y'+=(2.79±3.99±1.17)×10-3
x'2+=(1.94±3.47 ± 0.98)×10-4
y'-=(6.51±4.17±1.66)×10-3
x'2-=(-1.53±4.26±1.68)×10-4
The results for the All CP Violation allowed fit are
RD+ = (3.38 ±0.15±0.06)×10-3
y'+=(5.81 ±5.02±0.32)×10-3
x'2+=(-0.19±4.44±0.31)×10-4
RD-= (3.60±0.15±0.07)×10-3
y'-=(3.32±4.87±0.40)×10-3
x'2-=(0.79±4.33±0.38)×10-4
The results are consistent with CP symmetry. We provide the LHCb average of Wrong Sign searches, and predictions of the world averages of the underlying physics parameters with the inclusion of this result.
