Thoughts on Design Ethics Applied to Kitchen Management System in the Information and Digitization Age

Abstract Details

2018, MDES, University of Cincinnati, Design, Architecture, Art and Planning: Design.
In the Information Age, more and more individual biomedical characteristics and activities are digitized. Therefore, such pivotal information is easily available to both corporations and users themselves. In this project, I discuss and propose several future design ethical principles regarding how the new digitized data should be used. Under the framework of these principles, this project also explores a futuristic management system which can help users to better use all the data available in the kitchen. The system synthesizes different available data into actionable suggestions and also explores new forms of interaction in the kitchen between the system and users.
