Synthesis of BIS(2.2,2-Trifluoroethyl) vinylphosphates

Stock, Joseph R.

Abstract Details

1998, Master of Science in Chemistry, Youngstown State University, Department of Chemistry.
The focus of the research presented here is the synthesis, isolation and characterization of vinyl phosphates containing the bis(2,2,2-trifluorethyl) group. The first step involved the synthesis of bis(2,2,2-trifluoroethoxy) phosphorochloridate. This reagent was then added to a ketone enolate, formed by the reaction of LDA, prepared in situ from diisopropylamine and η-butyllithium, and a cyclic ketone to yield the desired vinyl phosphates.
