Somatic copy number changes have been shown to be heavily involved in many different types of cancers. This study had two purposes – first to try and identify sCNAs in whole exome sequencing data of Glioblastoma Multiforme and Low Grade Gliomas using two distinct bioinformatics tools – EXCAVATOR and XHMM. The second was to compare the two algorithms to ensure that sCNA calls from both algorithms agreed and try to identify some key strengths and limitations.
