Abstract
Bad Money is a novel about wealth and class. It explores issues of access, privilege, and personal gain. It proves you can’t outrun your roots. Its protagonist, Annie Armstrong, has been both poor and rich and has managed to stay thoroughly herself through both poles—for better and for worse.
