Druley, Jennifer A.

Abstract Details

1995, PHD, Kent State University, College of Arts and Sciences / Department of Psychological Sciences.
The purpose of this study was to examine how married couples managed husbands' lifestyle disruptions that were created by wives' lupus erythematosus and to determine whether such efforts were related to wives' well-being (depression, anxiety and marital satisfaction). One aim of the study was to examine how husbands' lifestyle interference and husbands' unsupportive responses related to patients' well-being. A second aim was to focus on patients' efforts to reduce the impact of the illness on their husbands' life and how these efforts related to their own well-being .
