This report documents Kevin Slaven’s six month internship as an Engineer with Malcolm Pirnie Inc (MPI) in Akron, Ohio. During the six month internship 40 Hazwoper training was provided by MPI, job proposals were drafted and many projects were worked on. The various projects worked on are as follows: Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plans, Emergency Response Plans (ERP), Environmental Management Systems (EMS), Quality Assurance Project Plan (QAPP), Voluntary Action Plan (VAP) Phase I Site Assessments and Litigation Research for oil storage sites. Each project is discussed in detail in this report as well as the training received and the proposals that were drafted during the internship.
