GROWING YOUR OWN TEACHERS: THE ALUMNUS PERSPECTIVE OF COMING HOME

Sabo, Katherine Shelby

Abstract Details

2017, Doctor of Philosophy, Miami University, Educational Leadership.
The purpose of this research is to examine why students return to teach in the community in which they grew up, how this occurs naturally, without an organized program to encourage their return, and what the implications of that return may be when the racial and cultural makeup of the student body is not reflected in the racial and cultural makeup of the faculty.
