A Scenic Design Process for a Production of Noises Off

Porter, Corinne Allyce

Abstract Details

2009, Master of Fine Arts, Ohio State University, Theatre.
Michael Frayn's Noises Off was a theatrical production presented by The Ohio State University Department of Theatre during autumn quarter of 2008. This thesis is a documentation of the scenic design process for this production. Noises Off was performed in the Thurber Theatre located in the Drake Performance and Events Center. The first chapters are descriptions of the production situation and collaboration with the rest of the design team. Script analysis, concept, design approach, and production process are then described. Finally, I provide a self evaluation of the entire process.
