This document is organized into two sections. The first section, chapters 1 through 4, is theorizing about art in general and issues I have thought important to my art over the last three years.
The second section, chapters 5 through 9, is about specific works I have made over the past four years. Each of these chapters begins by listing the objective facts of the works: what they look like, what they do, and how I made them. Then each part gives at least two descriptions of the work, one as the work might be understood after cursory examination or examination by someone without much knowledge of art, and one bringing as much knowledge to bear as I possess. The works present themselves differently to these different audiences.
