An analysis is presented measuring the production cross section for a Z boson produced in association with b quarks, in proton-proton collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 8 TeV in the channel Zμμ. The measurement is performed with 20.2 fb−1 data collected by the ATLAS detector at the LHC. The analysis measures the differential cross section dσ/dZpT in events where the highest pT jet is a b-jet. Additionally, it calculates the fraction of leading jets that are b-jets in events where a Z boson is produced in association with jets.
